Who is Globex?

Globex was founded in 2014. Globex started by offering money transfer services as an agent of Western Union at our first Globex branch located in Beausoleil, France. Globex broadened its services by offering money exchange, licensed by the ACPR Banque de France. Globex now has 5 branch locations in the South of France: Beausoleil : 13 boulevard de la République, Nice Ville : 31 rue d’Angleterre, Nice Riquier : 22 boulevard Pierre Sola, Antibes : 22 avenue Robert Soleau, Menton : 12 avenue Boyer.

In 2020, Globex founded the eGlobex app, to offer online accounts and cards to EEA residents. Our program is available for EEA residents only. Each eGlobex account includes 1 Globex Prepaid Mastercard® with the option to get 3 additional cards. We offer two eGlobex packages: Gold (standard solution) and Black (higher limits).

Globex is registered in France with the registration number 794844605. Registered Office: 13 BD de la République, 06240 Beausoleil, France.

Globex is a distributor of PFS Card Services (Ireland) Limited under its E-Money license. The Globex Prepaid Mastercard is issued by PFS Card Services (Ireland) Limited pursuant to a license by Mastercard.

WHAT IS THE EGLOBEX APP?

“eGlobex is an App offering clients online accounts including up to 4 Prepaid Mastercards.

Why Prepaid? We believe prepaid financial services are safer and more convenient for our clients, and allow us to simplify the client onboarding process”

HOW DO I OPEN AN ACCOUNT?

“Opening an eGlobex account couldn’t be easier – it takes less than a few minutes.

All you need is an ID and your smartphone and a valid email address. Download the eGlobex App (on Apple Store or Google Play), create your account, take a picture of your ID, and take a selfie – you’re done!

We accept international passports, as well as EEA-issued identity cards, driver’s licenses and residence permits”

HOW IS EGLOBEX REGULATED?

“Globex is approved by the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) as an appointed Distributor of PFS Card Services (Ireland) Limited under its E-Money License. PFS Card Services (Ireland) Limited has the permission to issue electronic money and provide payment services across the European Economic Area (EEA.) Globex distributes e-money services through its eGlobex App.“

WHAT IS PFS CARD SERVICES?

“The Globex Prepaid Mastercard is issued by PFS Card Services (Ireland) Limited pursuant to a license by Mastercard.

PFS Card Services (Ireland) Limited, trading as PCSIL, is authorised and regulated as an issuer of electronic money by the Central Bank of Ireland under registration number C175999. Registered office: EML Payments, 2nd Floor La Vallee House, Upper Dargle Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow, Ireland.”

WHAT IS MY EGLOBEX ACCOUNT?

Your eGlobex online account is a prepaid account used to store money and transact online.

It is a pre-equipped electronic account which, just like a real bank account, is used by consumers to transact securely online worldwide. Your account is sometimes also called a digital wallet. Digital means that it exists purely electronically.”

WHO SAFEGUARDS MY MONEY?

“Your funds are safeguarded by PFS Card Services (Ireland) Limited.

We take every precaution to keep your funds secure.”

HOW CAN I KEEP MY EGLOBEX ACCOUNT SECURE?

“As with credit and debit cards, you should take every precaution to keep your eGlobex prepaid Mastercard in a safe place and your PIN secure.

Please refer to the cardholder terms and conditions. Prepaid cards aim to reduce the need to carry or hold large amounts of cash.”

WHAT IS A PREPAID CARD?

“A prepaid card is like a debit card, but it is loaded to a predefined amount and can be reloaded as and when required.

You will only be able to make purchases with the card when there are sufficient funds on your prepaid card, and you will not be able to spend more than this amount. The prepaid card works just like any debit card worldwide. If you wish to buy a product or service, you can use the card in person or online.”

WHAT CAN I DO WITH AN EGLOBEX PREPAID CARD?

“You can use your eGlobex prepaid card just like you would with any credit or debit card, you can shop at any physical or online store, with any merchant that accepts Mastercard.”

I HAVE RECEIVED MY EGLOBEX PREPAID CARD, NOW WHAT DO I DO?

“Using the eGlobex prepaid card is very simple. However, before you start using the card you must do the following steps:

Sign the signature strip on the reverse of the card.
‍Activate the pre-paid card using the telephone via IVR or SMS.
Obtain your PIN through the telephone via IVR or SMS.
Load money from your eGlobex account to your card.”

WHY A PREPAID CARD?

“We believe prepaid cards are a more flexible and easier options for our clients.

You never have to worry about overspending or worry about your credit – it’s also easier to trust your children with a prepaid card.

Give your child their first spending with eGlobex.”

HOW DO I USE MY PRIMARY CARD?

“You can use your primary card, you must first transfer money onto your primary card from your eGlobex online account using your eGlobex App.”

CAN I WITHDRAW CASH USING THE PREPAID CARD?

“Yes, you can use your card for ATM withdrawals.”

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY CARD IS LOST OR STOLEN?

“If your card has been lost or stolen or you believe its security has been compromised, you must inform our Customer Service team as soon as possible at info@myeglobex.com or report this immediately using the IVR.”

HOW DO I GET HELP IF I HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT MY CARD?

“If you have any questions that are related to your card, please don’t hesitate to send an email to our customer service at info@myeglobex.com.”

DO MY CARDS EXPIRE?

“Yes. You can find the expiry date on the front of your card. If your card is about to expire, and is still active, please contact info@myeglobex.com, if you have not received a new card yet.

Any balance remaining on the card will be transferred to the new one before it is dispatched to you.”

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE/REPLACE A CARD?

“We count normally up to 14 working days for card delivery.”

HOW MANY SECONDARY CARDS CAN I HAVE?

“You can receive up to 3 secondary prepaid Mastercards for every eGlobex account.

These secondary Mastercards can either be under your name or under the name of a loved one.”

WHERE CAN I FIND MY IBAN DETAILS?

“You can find your IBAN and account details on the top right corner of the homepage of your account, when logging into your account.

Click on the button Print IBAN on your eGlobex app.”

WHAT FEES ARE ASSIGNED TO MY EGLOBEX ACCOUNT AND PREPAID MASTERCARD?

“You can find all fees in the section Fees and Limits and on your Terms and Conditions.”

WHAT LIMITS ARE ASSIGNED TO MY ACCOUNT AND CARD?

“You can find all limits in the section Fees and Limits and on your Terms and Conditions.”

WHERE CAN I FIND HELP?

“If you have any questions that are related to your account or cards, please don’t hesitate to send an email to our customer service at info@myeglobex.com.

You are also welcome to pay a visit to one of our Globex branches for further assistance.”

CAN I CHANGE THE PIN ASSIGNED TO ME?

“Yes, you can change your PIN at any ATM.”

I HAVE FORGOTTEN MY PIN, WHAT DO I DO?

“If you have forgotten or lost your PIN, please call the IVR number listed below and retrieve your PIN.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I CHANGE MY ADDRESS?

“You must notify us via email to info@myeglobex.com and include your new proof of address.”

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NO LONGER WANT TO USE MY PREPAID CARD?

“If you wish to cancel your prepaid card or no longer wish to use it, then contact info@myeglobex.com.”
